How does the infrared sauna work?
The Sunlighten mPulse infrared sauna combines gentle infrared heat with red and near, mid, and far infrared light to support full body wellness. The heat warms your muscles and tissues directly, helping them relax and release tension, while the light reaches your body to support skin health and overall vitality.
Each 30 minute session is designed to gradually increase in temperature, typically ranging from 38°C to 58°C. Your body responds naturally to this soothing warmth, muscles loosen, circulation improves, and cellular recovery begins.
What are the benefits of infrared sauna?
Integrating regular sessions into your routine offers many health advantages, including:
- Enhanced Circulation: Supports cardiovascular health and blood flow
- Muscle Recovery: Helps relieve muscle tension and aids post workout repair
- Skin Vitality: One of the most visible benefits of infrared sauna is improved skin tone, texture, and clarity
- Detoxification: Encourages gentle detoxification through natural perspiration
- Stress Relief: Promotes deep relaxation and mental wellbeing
Infrared vs traditional sauna: What is the difference?
In the debate of infrared vs traditional sauna, the key difference is the heat delivery method. Traditional saunas use high temperatures (often 70°C+) to heat the air, which can feel oppressive.
In contrast, an infrared sauna uses light to create heat within the body at lower, more comfortable temperatures. This means you can stay in longer and breathe more easily while still receiving deeper tissue penetration. High heat is not required to experience the full benefits of infrared sauna therapy.
Frequently asked questions about our infrared sauna
We want your infrared sauna experience to feel comfortable and restorative from the moment you arrive.
What should I wear and bring into my sauna session?
We recommend wearing breathable activewear or swimwear during your infrared sauna and having loose, comfortable clothes to change into afterward. You are welcome to bring a book, but please leave water bottles and mobile phones outside the sauna.
How frequently should I use the infrared sauna?
This is entirely up to you. While it is safe to use daily, most members prefer to experience the benefits of infrared sauna 1–2 times per week to complement their fitness routine.
Should I shower before my sauna?
Yes, for hygiene reasons. Please ensure you are completely dry before stepping into the infrared sauna, as moisture can affect the premium timber interior.
What do I do after my infrared sauna?
Rehydration is essential. Your body loses electrolytes through sweat, so we encourage replenishing fluids immediately. To maximise the benefits of infrared sauna detoxification, it is recommended you shower 30 minutes after your session.
Can I use an infrared sauna if I’m pregnant or have health concerns?
If you have cardiovascular conditions, heat sensitivity, are pregnant, or have any health concerns, please consult a health professional before exploring the benefits of infrared sauna therapy.
