Jack Migdalek
Pilates reformer
Hi. I’m Jack. I worked as an aerobics instructor during the early 1980s (yep, the Jane Fonda era), and then as a performer in music theatre both in Australia and the United Kingdom. My claim to fame is that I spent 9 months treading the boards with a young and lovely Catherine Zeta-Jones. Following those exciting years in showbiz, I did a five-year stint in Japan where I taught English and studied classical Japanese dance.
On returning to Australia, I freelanced as a writer, director and choreographer, and worked as an academic (my PhD was on embodied performance of gender). As a Pilates instructor, I like for participants to focus on achieving correct alignment and technique which I see as being key to a resilient, reliable, and healthy body.
Hopefully participants will leave class smiling, energised, and standing that little bit taller.
