Shalini Ranganathan
Head of Barre & Reformer Pilates Instructor
I started my career in the field of corporate training in India after completing a bachelor’s degree in commerce. My tenure as a corporate trainer gave me the opportunity to meet and train a wide variety of clients. This gave me such valuable experience in the field of training and personal development. I took a break from this corporate life and moved to Melbourne in 2008 after marriage. I worked hard towards achieving my own personal health goals and developed a passion for fitness in the process. In early 2014, I completed my certification as a Personal Trainer, group/HIIT/circuit trainer & Pilates Instructor (Mat and Reformer Pilates). I then completed training in Boxing and also as a Barre instructor.
I believe absolutely everyone should be able to move their bodies, and the value of moving (in almost any way possible) is just immeasurable in our lives. My goal is to help and coach people to achieve their fitness potential and improve their lifestyle. It gives me immense satisfaction to see my coaching make a difference in someone’s life. I love making my classes energetic, challenging and fun, with a strong emphasis on technique. I’ve learnt so much about fitness in the last few years, but I’m still amazed at how well our muscles connect in the body, how they work together and how an irregularity in any single part of the body can affect the whole body!
Besides fitness, I have a passion for music (lots of 80s tracks) and cricket. In my spare time (not a lot now), I enjoy making bead jewellery and mosaic art work.
Come and join me for some fun classes and a laugh!!
