You will be guided through the Teacher Training by two of our most experienced Pilates Reformer Teacher Trainers, Gaynor Carter & Jose Garcia.

Elixr School of Pilates

Fundamentals Course Outline

This course will provide you with the fundamentals of Elixr School of Pilates. It is the prerequisite to undertaking the reformer pilates teacher training course.

 

The course includes:

  • Elixr School Pilates Principles
  • Anatomy Review
  • Posture and Alignment
  • Postural Analysis Basic
  • Basic Biomechanics
  • Understanding Core Stability and Core Strength

Dates: Sat 18th and Sunday 19th August

Duration: 10 hours

Prerequisites: Basic anatomy and Pilates training 6.5 hours
(Certificate III in Fitness recommended, but not essential)

Required Textbooks: Elixr School of Pilates Fundamental Manual (included free in course)

Fitness Australia: 4 CECs

No refunds and/or course is non-transferable to another person’. If more than 14 days notice given, can postpone to next upcoming course only with written approval by Kaya Education.

Elixr School of Pilates

Reformer Course Outline Date

The Reformer Course will prepare you to teach beginner – advanced Reformer exercises. The course covers the benefit, target muscles, precaution and modification of each exercise. Each exercise is analysed in detail to gain an understanding of its biomechanics and focus. Upon completion of the course, you will have the tools to design a program and teach from beginner to advanced levels.

 

The course includes:

  • Programming with Reformer exercises (individual and group)
  • Effective cueing, correction and motivational techniques
  • Teaching skills for individual and group
  • Lesson plans

Fundamentals: 

Sat 18th and Sunday 19th Augsut
5 hours each day total of 10 hours

Reformer: 

Friday 24th August
Saturday 25th August
Sunday 26th August
Saturday 8th September
Sunday 9th September
Saturday 15th September
Sunday 16th September

Duration: 58 hours face to face training

Prerequisites: Elixr Pilates Fundamentals Course

Post Course Requirements:

  • 20 hours Participation
  • 10 hours of Observation
  • 10 hours of Co Teaching

Total Hours of Entire Course: 94 hours of hands on training

Includes: 6 week Kaya Health Clubs membership at club of choice valued at over $600

Fitness Australia: 15 CECs

Course Completion Opportunities:To be mentored by our senior Instructors with the intention of becoming a Kaya Reformer Pilates Instructor
